What to do in winter in Barcelona?
Sitges carnival
This is one of the most popular festival a 100 year old history, it takes place from 8th until the 14th of February. The first day is the Fat Thursday (Dijous Gras) and for one week, each day represents an ancient village of Barcelona, celebrated with different traditions, parades, dances etc.
Els Tres Tombs
This one week long festival is celebrated on the 17th of January, the day of Sant Antoni Abad, the patron saint of animals. In the districts of Sant Antoni and Sant Andreu, in various places, take place concerts, gastronomic tastings, and family activities. Also you will see the traditional horse carriages passing by the routes three times (the name Tres Tombs means The Three Turns), while candies and sweets are thrown at them.
La Granja 1872
La Granja is a cafe in the heart of el Barrio Gothic, at Carrer dels Banys Nous, 4. You can try here one of the best hot chocolates in Barcelona, some sweet pastries and traditional Catalan delicacies.
Aire de Barcelona
This is a huge thermal bath complex in Born area, restored from the ancient times. You can enjoy several different swimming pools, relax in hot baths and with massages.
